5 Sneakers for Our Jeans that won't break your bank

2 min read

In our previous post regarding our selection of footwear to pair with our J101's, we had curated sneakers and boots with high price points. The selection had heads nodding, but if you're like me, spending more than $200 for a pair of shoes may not be your first priority. So, we've curated a collection of recently dropped sneakers along with some classics that won't break your bank.

1. Nike SF AF-1 Mid

After having tried a pair of J101's myself recently, I personally believe mids are the safest bet in terms of pairing the right footwear with your jeans. Having a ledge higher than your regular sneakers allows the jeans to stack even more. More stacks, more life.

2. Reebok Instapump Fury OG

This is one of the more recent drops of the Instapump Fury's. Either black or white colorway will do the job, but I'm really fond of the red band that runs in the middle of these shoes.

3. Nike Air Max 97

Image above is the silver bullet edition, but any Air Max 97's will do. They're coming out with endless colorways that all seem to suit well with our jeans.

4. Adidas Ultraboost

Ultraboost 4.0 have been releasing, but let's be honest, they're not all that different from the first generation. These seem to work really well with our jeans that have riri zippers near the ankles. Unzip a bit to have the leg openings rest over your sneakers. Check out the image to the right to see what I mean.

5. Vans Sk8-Hi

Let's keep it classy with some classic pair of Sk8-Hi's. Again, another pair of mids for the stacks. I've had my pair of vans for close to 4 years and counting. Sounds like Vans will last as long as the stacks of our jeans: forever.

You might've noticed that none are flat shoes. I have to do a bit of experimenting to do in terms of styling the jeans with flats (e.g. common projects), and hopefully I can come up something helpful.

AKINGSNY recently dropped a lot of merch during the Thanksgiving weekend, and JAMES STRETCH is one that I think will pair well with all of these. Plus the stretch material makes it even more comfortable to help you keep things moving.

BEAKING/QUEEN.
